I have an Honours Degree from the University of London in the Art and Science of Movement, and have worked for some years as a qualified Fitness Instructor, both RSA and YMCA. I was in the first wave of qualified instructors to come out of the Pilates Institute in London in 1999. I then went on to gain an additional specialist qualification to teach Pilates to pre- and post-natal women.
Each year I attend specialist conferences to keep up to date with the latest teaching techniques and scientific developments in the Pilates world and the Fitness Industry. I have full professional insurance to cover my classes. I have taught Pilates at various locations in and around Bath, including Trim Street Studios, The YMCA, Combe Grove, at the Rec. to the Bath Rugby Team (dream job!) and I spent two years at the Bath Clinic working in the Physiotherapy Department as the resident Pilates instructor – a unique position in Bath.
Sixteen years on I was still teaching members of the Bath Rugby Team, both privately and in group classes.
In addition I can offer clients the opportunity to enjoy private lessons on a one-to-one or two-to-one basis. I usually see clients in my own home; or if time is at a real premium and a suitable space available, I can visit you in your own home or at your place of work.
